President
Cam Hodson
The Folsom JR Bulldogs (FJB) is an incredible program that builds youth into resilient leaders and teaches them that.
Success is earned through hard work. I can honestly say that each of my children has benefited from this program. My oldest son went through the program from 2014-2019 and is currently playing on the varsity team at Folsom High School. My daughter cheered. I have two sons currently in the program on the Pee Wee and Junior Midget teams and I have a little pup ready to play once he is of age. My wife is also serving on the executive board overseeing events for the year. We are a family that is dedicated to Folsom Football and Cheer.
I would be happy to serve as the President and help maintain the excellence of the FJB program. As the President I will fulfill the mission of FJB which is to be “a feeder program to Folsom High School and to teach Competitive football and cheerleading skills while implementing the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, courage, loyalty and respect for oneself and others.”
The FJB program has been a blessing to my family. I also believe it is a great blessing to our Folsom community.
Treasurer
Fallon Wingard
Hello, my name is Fallon Wingard. My husband John and I have two boys, one Pee Wee, Austin (Tex) Wingard, and a soon-to-be Junior Pee Wee, Lincoln. We have been part of the Folsom Jr. Bulldogs since 2018. We were really impressed with the dedication from the coaches, and how organized the program was. Since then, we have met so many wonderful people who inspire us to do more for our community and have made some great friends along the way.
I am currently the Treasurer for the Folsom Jr. Bulldogs, completing my first two-year term at the end of this year. I feel my job is not done yet. There is still more that I would like to do and build upon. I would love your vote to continue my role so I can contribute in a more constructive way, as well as delivering consistency to our board and organization.
This year I implemented a more interactive budget that helped return quick board decisions, ran reports to gather all income, studied and updated our bylaws, and maintained our organization’s good standing. I work behind the scenes attending meetings, helping with home games, as well as wherever the need presents itself. FJB has been a successful program because of our predecessors, and I want to honor them by carrying on their mission for the success of our youth.
Heather Martinez
Hello, I’m Heather Martinez! 2024 will be my family’s 9th year in the Folsom Jr Bulldogs program. I’m currently volunteering as the Pee Wee Football Team Mom & the Jr Pee Wee Cheer Head Coach. I have 4 children and a husband who are all very involved in FJB! My oldest son aged out of the FJB program last year and is currently a Teen for Hire & Instructor for the Jr Midgets team. My second son is a Midget and playing his last season here at FJB. He’s planning to continue on with the Bulldogs next year as a high school freshman. Next Season I will have one remaining Pee Wee Football player & one remaining Pee Wee Cheerleader.
My volunteer journey began in 2015 as the Mighty Mites Team Breakfast Tailgate Coordinator. I have since held many roles here in the FJB program, including Team Mom, Cheer Coach & Assistant to Events. Last year I headed our end-of-the-year football & cheer banquets and have continued this year by taking the lead of our Parents Night Out and assisting with Thursday Night Lights & Midget Night. I have helped put my touch on FJB events for many years now, in ways both big and small. I know each special occasion inside & out. I really care about our program & the Bulldog community.
VP of Cheer
Susie Albright
Hello, my name is Susie Albright, and I am the current VP of Cheer. I have a long history with the Folsom Jr. Bulldogs. I began cheering with FJB as a child. I went on to cheer at Folsom High school and continued to cheer in college, while also cheering on a competitive team. Thanks to the Jr. Bulldogs, I found my passion as a child. I feel very fortunate to be involved in this program again as an adult. I began coaching when my oldest daughter was on the Mascot squad.
During my first year as VP, I brought back the FJB Competition Squad, which had been inactive for the past 6 years. I co-coached the squad, and we brought home a second-place ribbon at the California Youth Championship, in addition to placing 4th out of 11 at Nationals in Vegas. I will be coaching the Competition Squad again this year, in addition to starting a brand-new Stunt program for FJB. We will be joining the first Recreational Stunt League in Northern California, and I cannot wait to see what our girls can achieve!
My combined experience of cheering for FJB and 8 years of coaching has brought invaluable knowledge to my job as VP. I can examine each situation and opportunity from both the eyes of the coaches and the cheerleaders. This allows me to lead in a way that benefits and balances the program. I am familiar with the extensive jobs of VP, such as securing practice locations, signing up for competitions, and designing and ordering uniforms and practice wear. My familiarity with the routine tasks allows me to spend more time improving the program and adding opportunities for the girls, such as the addition of the Stunt team!
If you vote for me, you will be saving time and money for the program. I have learned over the past few years while acting as VP, the most efficient ways to complete tasks. I have cut costs in order to save your hard-earned money. We have already reused jerseys and sourced out new suppliers to save funds. If I am re-elected, we will reuse our uniforms for the next two years as well. My goal is to make the program as affordable as possible so that our girls can continue to cheer.
